Pupils and parents are being encouraged to help trial a new online game which will educate young people about water safety. The game has been created by Swim England as part of the Inspire 2022 project, which is funded by Sport England off the back of the Commonwealth Games.

Swim England has joined forces with bank payments company GoCardless to offer clubs a stress-free solution for collecting membership fees. The national governing body for swimming, diving, artistic swimming and water polo has signed a four-year agreement with the global fintech.

Water Polo Tournament Update 10 Jul 2023
The Under 15 Lancaster City Waterpolo Team competed in the Manup tournament at Nantwich Outdoor Pool on Saturday. This was their first tournament and such a fantastic experience for them all! They lost the first two matches however the team soon found their feet (or was it their new fancy trunks!?) and won the last two matches meaning they finished 3rd in their group (out of 5). After narrowly losing their playoff game they came 6th overall (out of 10). Everyone worked super hard for the team! Callum and Sam were sprinting up and down on the wing at what felt like the speed of light! Michael, Matas & Ben scored goals for the team and Josh, Sam and Michael showed some incredible defensive skills! We also had Adam and Ethan join us from Radcliffe and what a brilliant addition to the team they were! They were fast on the wings and both scored goals for the team! Overall, an amazing experience and fantastic effort from everyone in the team!
Congratulations Poppy 28 Jun 2023
Poppy is our second recipient of the Swim England Young Volunteer Award this year. Over the last 12 months she has been helping with our Competitive Development and Squad One teams. By completing the course she has developed her knowledge about how our club is run and what to look for in and around the pool. I hope following her education she takes up a role within aquatics because she has been fantastic with our athletes enabling them to be the best they can be.

We would like to congratulate our Masters head coach and all round good guy Harry Sykes for his nomination for the Volunteer Of The Year award within Swim England North West.
It's been an absolutely fantastic year for our masters and Harry has been the driving force for the team.
I would also like to congratulate one of our clubs ex Presidents - Mike Hesketh has been leading the charge within water polo for a number of years. He has also been nominated inthe volunteer of the year category.

Matt Wilson takes over from Rob Simpson as this years Club Captain and Zara and Jad become our new Swim Captains.
These three have been amazing members of our team for many years, Zara swimming since 2015, Jad since 2020 and Matt joining our masters squad and coaching team in 2021.
Since joining the club Matt has been very proactive on developing the club as a Committee member and has enjoyed his time in the pool achieving numerous PBs and representing the club at the Masters National events.
Both Zara and Jad have represented the club over many years at both home and external galas and they will hopefully continue to inspire our younger athletes as their predecessors have in 2023.
